YLAW is dedicated to giving back to the community in which we live and work.  We are highly involved in community activities, especially those which benefit the youth of New Mexico.  Many of us serve on volunteer boards or other volunteer organizations such as the YMCA, Girl Scouts, Big Brothers-Big Sisters, The Albuquerque Boy Choir, the Cystic Fybrosis Foundation, the New Mexico Medical-Legal Panel and others.  Many of us also serve as volunteer coaches for youth sports.  We are proud of our high level of community involvement, and view that involvement as some of the most important work we do.

For example, YLAW sponsors an annual charity golf tournament in conjunction with the Del Norte Rotary Club.  The “YLAW for the YMCA Golf Tournament” raises scholarship money which allows underprivileged children and families to participate in the YMCA’s character-building programs like after school care, youth sports, and youth-in-government.  Each year, YLAW sponsors a team in the “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer” fundraiser to benefit breast cancer research.  YLAW also supports Casa de las Comunidades, a local Catholic organization which provides services to underprivileged children and families.
